When Country Cottage Needleworks announced her new monthly series of houses for 2012, I knew I was in trouble. You see, houses are a weakness of mine. If the design has a house on it, I am tempted to buy it. I’m not sure I have stitched that many projects with houses on them, but collecting the charts is no problem at all.
Toen Country Cottage Needleworks haar nieuwe serie met huisjes voor 2012 aankondigde, wist ik dat ik in de problemen zat. Weet je, huizen zijn een zwakte van me, als een patroon een huis erop heeft staan, dan ben ik erg in de verleiding om het te kopen. Ik weet niet eens of ik zoveel projecten heb geborduurd met huizen erop, maar het verzamelen van de patronen is geen probleem.
Stitching all 12 of them doesn’t seem realistic for this year, but last weekend I simply couldn’t resist the temptation of at least starting one little house. I picked the February house as it is so cheerful and I had a perfect frame in my collection as well.
Om ze alle 12 te borduren lijkt me niet realistisch voor dit jaar, maar afgelopen weekend kon ik de verleiding niet langer weerstaan om er in ieder geval een te beginnen. Ik koos voor het huisje van February omdat het zo vrolijk is en ik heb het perfecte lijstje al in huis.
I changed the colors a wee bit to match the color of my frame, Pink Posey became Manor Red and Pink Champagne became Little Pink Peony. The rest is all the same, including the fabric. It’s such a fun stitch.
Ik heb de kleuren een klein beetje aangepast om bij de kleur van mijn lijstje te passen. Pink Posey werd Manor Red en Pink Champagne is Little Pink Peony geworden. De rest is hetzelfde, ook de stof. Het is een geweldig leuk borduurtje.
Once this one is done, we’ll see how long it takes me to start another :).
Als deze een keer klaar is, zullen we wel zien hoe lang het duurt voor ik weer met eentje begin :).
