A quick and dirty in between project

Do you know those projects that sometimes just pop up? There is a definite deadline involved and you realize just a tad too late that this would be the perfect design for that project. You also know that the recipient of that project would really enjoy it and that would make all the stress more than worth it. That’s the kind of project I have been working on for the last couple of days.

This is the gift for my aunt who is celebrating her 80th birthday this week. She’s a stitcher herself and I know she’ll love to have her own scissor fob. My mom is stitching like crazy to get her the stitching bag as well. It’s really a cute design, but much more work than you’d think looking at the picture. Or maybe I’m just not good at estimating how much time this would take :).

It’s from a Belgian designer called Miss Kat and the fabric is 36ct Edinburg and the threads a combination of Gloriana and Soie d’Alger silks.
