A late Easter project

This year we are stitching various hearts by Sekas & Co. Normally, these are done on 20 count fabric, but we changed it to 32 count Belfast and adjusted the threads accordingly. It is so much fun to pick out the threads each month. All of them are done in silks, some use metallics and some beads. Our plan is to put all 12 hearts at the end of the year on a ribbon and have a garland to hang around in the shop.

Anyways, so far a friend had stitched the hearts, but this month, I “needed” to do it myself. The hearts use different stitches and are a joy to work on. As April was the Easter month, we picked An Easter Egg Heart for this month. I changed the threads to Gloriana silks and Soie d’Alger silks and this is the result.
